Barcelona are looking to add more quality to their squad ahead of the 2025-26 campaign. Hansi Flick's team secured a domestic treble but missed out on the Champions League title in the 2024-25 season.
Meanwhile, the Catalans have set a deadline to offload Ansu Fati this summer. Elsewhere, the LaLiga champions are planning to tie Pablo Torre down to a new deal.
On that note, let's look at the major Barcelona transfer stories from June 12, 2025.
Barcelona set Ansu Fati deadline

Barcelona want to offload Ansu Fati by the end of this month, according to SPORT (via Barca Universal). The Spanish forward is a forgotten man at Camp Nou, and the Catalans are keen to move him on this summer.
Fati has struggled with form and fitness in recent years and is no longer part of Hansi Flick's plans. The 22-year-old managed just 11 appearances across competitions in the 2024-25 season, only three of which were starts.
Monaco are ready to offer him a chance to get his career back on track. The Ligue 1 club have apparently reached an agreement with the LaLiga champions regarding a loan deal, with a €14m buy option.
They could also include a buyback clause for double that amount in case Barcelona want to bring him back in the next two summers. However, in order to take advantage of the favorable tax conditions and be financially viable, the move must be completed by June 30.
Monaco have already convinced Fati, but the player's wage demands are proving to be a problem. Fati currently earns €6m per year, but the French side can offer him an annual wage of only €4m.
The Spanish champions are pushing the Ligue 1 side to improve their wage offer. The Catalans have no desire to pay part of Fati's salary and also want him to take a pay cut to complete the move.
Catalans plan Pablo Torre renewal

Barcelona are planning to extend Pablo Torre's stay at Camp Nou, according to Mundo Deportivo (via Barca Universal).
The Spanish midfielder has struggled for game time under Hansi Flick, registering just four goals and three assists from 14 games across competitions in the 2024-25 season. The player remains linked with an exit this summer, especially since his contract with the Catalans expires next year.
However, the LaLiga giants are planning to tie him down to a new deal. Barcelona could then loan him out with a purchase option, or offload him permanently with an affordable buyback clause.
Oriol Romeu's future remains uncertain

Oriol Romeu is planning to sit down with Barcelona sporting director Deco to discuss his future, according to Mundo Deportivo (via Barca Universal). The Spaniard was signed in the summer of 2023 as a replacement for the legendary Sergio Busquets, but never lived up to expectations.
Romeu was loaned back to Girona last summer, but he is due to return to Camp Nou this summer, with his future uncertain. The 33-year-old is under contract with the Catalans until 2026 but is no longer part of their plans.
The LaLiga giants, however, have yet to inform him of the same. A return to Girona this summer cannot be ruled out either.
