Chelsea are reportedly interested in signing Bournemouth striker Dominic Solanke this summer. The English striker is also on the radar of another London side Tottenham Hotspur.
Solanke had a brilliant 2023-24 campaign, scoring 19 goals and providing three assists in 38 Premier League games. It marked the best-ever goal tally of his career. His performances have seen him garner interest from multiple clubs, including from the Premier League and Serie A.
As per talkSport, there is a £65 million release clause in Solanke's contract with Bournemouth, which is valid only for the 'Big 6' clubs. His contract also has a 20% sell-on clause, inserted by Liverpool when he joined for £19 million in 2019. Hence, the Reds could earn around £9 million if a club were to pay his release clause.
Solanke came through Chelsea's academy, also making one senior appearance for them and they are interested in bringing him back. Nicolas Jackson scored 14 league goals in 35 appearances last season but was guilty of missing multiple big chances.
Tottenham, meanwhile, are also looking for attacking reinforcements after Richarlison's injury issues last season. The Brazilian missed 10 Premier League games and contributed 11 goals and four assists in 28 appearances. Spurs were interested in Solanke in January as well and are still monitoring him.
Chelsea and Tottenham interested in Premier League striker: Reports
As per Goal Brazil, Chelsea and Tottenham are interested in signing Fulham striker Rodrigo Muniz.
The Brazilian striker impressed in the second half of last season, scoring nine goals and providing one assist in the last 16 Premier League games. He joined Fulham from Flamengo in 2021 and was sent out on loan to Middlesbrough in the 2022-23 season. He has recorded 15 goals and one assist in 61 games for the Cottagers.
Chelsea and Tottenham are monitoring Muniz's situation for a potential move. Fulham and manager Marco Silva are keen on keeping the Brazilian at the club after his performances last season. He is likely to cost around €30-40 million, with his contract expiring in 2026.
Both sides also have the likes of Benjamin Sesko, Santiago Gimenez, Ivan Toney, and Lois Openda on their radars.
