Inter Milan are reportedly prepared to make a move to sign Como star Nico Paz, who plays alongside Lionel Messi for the Argentina national team. The Serie A champions are interested in the 20-year-old, who has turned heads following his performances for the newly-promoted Italian side this season.
A report from La Gazzetta dello Sport has pointed out that Inter Milan are keeping tabs on former Real Madrid man Paz with a view to signing him in 2025. They are prepared to offer striker Francesco Esposito, who is on loan at Spezia in the second tier, as part of a swap deal with Como.
Real Madrid academy graduate Paz completed a move to Como in the summer after finding first-team chances hard to come by at the Santiago Bernabeu.
The Argentina international has been impressive playing in the side managed by Cesc Fabregas, with his performances earning him an international call-up. The youngster delivered an assist for Lionel Messi on his debut, a 6-0 win over Bolivia in October.
Inter Milan have scouted Paz this season but intend to have a clearer view of his qualities when they face Como in the league on Monday. The 20-year-old attacking midfielder has recorded two goals and three assists in 15 league appearances this season as his side sits in 15th place.
Simone Inzaghi's side will have to contend, with the possibility of Paz's head being turned by the opportunity to return to his boyhood club in 2025. Real Madrid retains a €12 million buy-back clause for the youngster and may choose to re-sign him in the summer.
Serie A side urged to keep Lionel Messi teammate amid Inter Miami links
AS Roma have been urged to keep hold of star forward Paulo Dybala, who has been linked with a move to Lionel Messi's MLS outfit Inter Miami. Italy coach Luciano Spalletti made his point as a guest on Domenica Sportiva, advising his former club to keep the Argentine forward. He said:
“It is difficult for me to say. I know that Dybala is a great player and for a team that wants to build a winning mentality, it is best to keep players like him.”
Dybala scored twice to help Roma record a convincing 5-0 victory over Parma in Serie A. The 31-year-old forward became the third highest-scoring Argentina player in Serie A history with 127 goals, behind only Hernan Crespo (135 goals) and Gabriel Batistuta (184 goals).
Paulo Dybala was linked with a move to newly-promoted Saudi club Al-Qadsiah in the summer before eventually remaining in Rome. The former Juventus man has now been linked with Inter Miami, where Lionel Messi plays and former teammate Javier Mascherano is coach.
