PSG have a surprise name on their wishlist

PSG have reportedly set their sights on signing Michael Olise from Crystal Palace. The Ligue1 side are looking for fresh faces in the side and believe the young Frenchman will be ideal for them.

As per a report in the Daily Mail, Olise is the latest name on PSG's radar. They are looking for Lionel Messi's replacement this summer, as the Argentine is set to leave when his contract expires. The Ligue1 side are also looking for replacements for Neymar as the Brazilian's future at the club hangs in the balance.

The English publication claims that Olise has been on PSG's wishlist since January, but they failed to get the deal over the line in the winter window.

Crystal Palace, however, are not interested in selling the youngster, as striker Wilfried Zaha is on the verge of leaving the club. They want the Frenchman to stay and be a part of their attack for the upcoming seasons and are in no hurry to sell as he has three years left on his current deal.

PSG target praised by Arsenal legend

Patrick Vieira was the manager of Crystal Palace earlier this season and he heaped praise on Michael Olise. He stated that while the Frenchman is still growing, he is ready to take on more responsibility on the pitch.

Vieira was quoted by Football London as saying:

"Michael [Olise] is still growing as a player. When we played away at Everton, he found it really difficult to get involved in the game but [against West Ham] was much better. We have to expose him for him to grow as a player. There's no doubt about his ability to score goals or to play well."

He added:

"He was really important for us when we were in possession, and he created those opportunities for us. That was, I believe, one of his most complete games during his time at the club. Even defensively he was working really well. He was smart with the way he was defending. He is growing, and that's really good for us."

Former Tottenham player Jamie Redknapp also shares a similar opinion and said on Sky Sports:

"You've got to work hard in this game. He's got what I would call top four ability but right now has he got top four work rate? Is he going to every game put a shift in? If he can add that to his game then the sky is the limit."

PSG are looking to add young French players to their side and have also set their sights on Kolo Muani.
