Real Madrid officials want to sign Chelsea and Arsenal target as they see him as the next Karim Benzema - Reports

Real Madrid linked with striker they believe can replace Karim Benzema

Some members of the Real Madrid hierarchy believe the club should sign Victor Osimhen in the summer as he can be a good replacement for Karim Benzema.

Los Blancos have been once again heavily linked with a move for Kylian Mbappe, whose Paris Saint-Germain contract expires in the summer. However, according to Football Transfers, some members in the club boardroom believe Osimhen will be a better signing instead.

Real Madrid parted ways with club legend Karim Benzema last summer as the Frenchman joined Al-Ittihad. The Frenchman was Los Blancos' second all-time top scorer with 354 goals in 648 games along with 165 assists. To replace him, the Spanish giants only signed Joselu on loan from Espanyol.

Hence, they arguably need a striker more than a winger, which is a preferred position for Mbappe. The Frenchman will have to compete with Vinicius Jr. on the left wing.

Osimhen, meanwhile, has been excellent in recent seasons and helped Napoli win the Serie A last season, contributing 26 goals and five assists in 32 games. His striking prowess and link-up play have impressed many in Real Madrid's ranks.

Osimhen has also been linked with Premier League sides like Arsenal and Chelsea for a potential summer move. His contract with Napoli expires in 2026 and as per Transfermarkt, his market value is €110 million.
