Eduardo Camavinga is reportedly threatening to leave Real Madrid

According to L'Equipe, Real Madrid star Eduardo Camavinga is trying to threaten the club to leave at the end of the season. The France international's natural position lies in midfield, however much to his frustration, he has been deployed as a left-back this season by head coach Carlo Ancelotti.

Camavinga joined Real Madrid from Rennes in August 2021 and is contracted to the club till the summer of 2027. He has already made 95 appearances for Los Blancos and has won every trophy possible for them.

His best position is in the midfield, particularly in inside positions, where his physicality enables him to be a threat. However, as of late, Ancelotti has deployed the Frenchman at left-back. Seventeen of his 55 appearances this season have been left-back and this has greatly frustrated Camavinga.

Camavinga reportedly does not agree with Ancelotti and wants to go back to playing in the midfield. He does not enjoy playing in the left-back role and wants to succeed as a midfielder. He is allegedly attempting to threaten Real Madrid to leave at the end of the season if this does not change.

However, his fate is interlinked with Carlo Ancelotti's fate with Los Blancos. It is known that Brazil are interested in acquiring his services at the end of the season. After their embarrassing Champions League exit at the hands of Manchester City, the Italian may be tempted to leave the club.

If Ancelotti were to stay and continue to play Camavinga at left-back next season, it is possible that the French starlet may decide to join a different club.

Real Madrid interested in signing Espanyol forward: Reports

According to a report from Relevo, Real Madrid are interested in signing Espanyol forward Joselu Mato in the summer transfer window. Joselu is a La Fabrica product and would be signed as a backup for Karim Benzema.

The 33-year-old has scored 15 goals in 31 appearances in La Liga this season. These are good numbers for a forward that has played in a struggling team.

Espanyol are currently in the midst of a relegation battle and are placed 19th with 31 points. If they were to be relegated, his signing would be affordable for Los Blancos. However, the report also states that the club have not begun any negotiations for Joselu yet.

With Mariano Diaz expected to leave at the end of the season, this would be an ideal signing for Real Madrid. Joselu would be more than capable of being a good backup forward for Benzema. The only possible issue would be both forwards are approaching the twilight years of their careers.
