Chelsea could face a battle to keep Spanish playmaker Juan Mata at Stamford Bridge as PSG prepare a £40 million bid, according to the Daily Star.
Premier League outfits Arsenal, Manchester United, Liverpool and Tottenham are also reportedly interested in the Blues star.
PSG failed in their attempts to bring Mata to the Parc des Princes in the summer, but boss Laurent Blanc is prepared to comeback with another offer.
Mata himself is thought to be considering his options in a World Cup year as his lack of regular starts could hamper his chances of being included in the Spain squad.
Arsenal, Liverpool, United and Spurs have all been monitoring Mata’s situation but PSG’s early move looks likely to spark a bidding war.
Mata has created 15 chances for his team-mates this season, with one assist to his name so far.
