Rumour: Blow to Arsenal as Sebastian Giovinco's agent claims he is not moving this winter

The agent of Arsenal target Sebastian Giovinco has admitted that the London club have spoken to him about a move to the Emirates, but has ruled out a January move for his client. Despite the fact that Giovinco has made just two starts for Juventus this season, his agent insisted to the Express that there is no chance of him moving in January.

“There’s been a request for information but a deal is still far from being done,” said his agent Claudio Pasqualin when asked of interest from Arsenal.

“It is logical that that the interest of a club like Arsenal is flattering and something to be proud of, but, once again, at the moment there are no negotiations underway between Juventus and the Gunners.”

“Could Giovinco leave Juventus in January? Absolutely not, that hypothesis can be excluded.”

Arsenal are in the market for attacking reinforcements in January. Theo Walcott and Nicklas Bendtner are both injured, leaving Olivier Giroud and Lukas Podolski as the side’s only fit strikers. Giovinco has made nine league appearances for Juventus this season, scoring one goal, but has yet to complete 90 minutes for the Turin outfit in Serie A this season.

Giovinco has an 88% shot accuracy in Serie A this season.
