According to Goal, Manuel Pellegrini wants Muniain at Manchester City in this summer and the Spaniard may be available for €18 million.
The Athletic Bilbao midfielder’s contract expires in the summer of 2015 and it does not look like he is interested in signing a new, improved deal.
Bilbao were tying to make Muniain sign a new deal which would have included a €50m buy-out clause. It does not look to be happening at the moment and the club is concerned their prized asset could leave for way less than that amount in the near future.
