Rumour: Atletico Madrid lure United with Costa and Filipe for Mata?

Will the duo be enough for Atletico Madrid to hijack Juan Mata?

Atletico Madrid have agreed to offer Manchester United manager David Moyes first options on Brazilian striker Diego Costa and left-back Filipe Luis if the United withdraw their bid for Juan Mata, reports Telegraph.

Apparently, Atletico Madrid are looking to bolster their midfield line-up and Chelsea’s Juan Mata is their first choice, and could hijack Manchester United’s £37 million million transfer bid.

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has already said that he is prepared to allow Mata to move to United, but only if the player personally tells him that he wants to go to Old Trafford before sanctioning any transfer.

David Moyes might be considering his options now as both Diego Costa and Filipe Luis could be ideal replacements for Wayne Rooney and Patrice Evra respectively.
