Rumour: Chelsea favourites to sign Liverpool and Arsenal target Rayan Souici
St-Etienne wonderkid Rayan Souici has recently been linked with many big clubs across the Channel in England, and it was reported that both Arsenal and Liverpool were in the race to sign him, if he indeed chose to move. However, reports coming in now suggest that Chelsea are close to clinching a deal, with the signing expected to be completed later this week.
According to sources from France Football, Chelsea’s officials have agreed on a deal with the player’s club St-Etienne. The player, who has been dubbed the “new Paul Pogba”, is thought of very highly at St-Etienne, and they would be loath to losing him at such a young age.
Jose Mourinho has offered the young talent an agreement of three years and if all goes well, Souici will immediately move to Stamford Bridge, where his former team-mate Kurt Zouma is already an established first-team squad member. If Chelsea are able to bag Souici, he will be a great addition for the future, and the move will also see them pip Premier League rivals Arsenal and Liverpool to the signing.
Meanwhile, a move for the Croatian striker Andrej Kramaric does not look hopeful as Leicester submitted a late bid of 7.9 million Euros which is very close to the 8 million Euros his current club Rejika want to sell the player for.
