According to rumours, Ligue 1 Champions, Paris Saint-Germain are planning to place a £50m bid for Chelsea’s Brazilian center back David Luiz. If Chelsea actually agrees to the deal, David Luiz will become the most expensive defender in the history of the game.
Luiz was already linked with a big money move to Barcelona but now it seems that the French champions too are keen in roping in the defender. It is believed that the deal might materialise in the next 48 hours.
Selling David Luiz for a such a huge transfer fee would certainly boost Chelsea’s cause in signing Atletico Madrid’s star striker Diego Costa. Jose Mourinho already has options in both central defense and defensive midfield positions, so it won’t be much of a loss for the Chelsea boss.
It is believed, that as soon as the transfer fee is agreed, PSG would seek permission from Brazil coach, Luiz Felipe Scolari to fly Luiz to Paris for a medical check up.
