A civil lawsuit has been filed against Anara Atanes, the girl-friend of Manchester City mid-fielder Samir Nasri, by the manager of the French national team Didier Deschamps due to her Twitter tirade following the Nasri’s omission from France’s World Cup squad.

Following the announcement of the 30-man squad by Deschamps on Tuesday, Anara Atanes launched a foul-mouthed attack on Twitter.

It has been reported by the French radio station, RMC that Deschamps along with the French football federation have opened legal proceedings against Atanes.

Anara Anates is an English-born singer part of the pop group Fanfare.

“FFF condemns insulting remarks against Didier Deschamps and fully supports his coach in his approach,” read a statement released on Friday.

“The unanimous feedback confirmed that the entire France condemned such remarks. FFF believes that the unanimous indignation is enough to condemn such behaviour.”

The former France captain fielded questions regarding the behaviour of his squad at a press-conference, but was left fuming when it was pointed out that a brothel was located only 500m away from the squad’s Brailian base in Ribeirao Preto.

“Apparently, you’re better informed than me,” Deschamps said. “It’s bizarre, because you must frequent the same places as the players. When we went to play in Ukraine, I also know the media’s evenings were quite animated.

“Curiously, you go to the same places, but that is less well-known. Often, I find out about it all the same. Just in case. Because you might have files on the players but I also have them on you. It’s good to know what’s going on. After that, each person does what they want.”

The former Victoria Secrets model has since apologised to the people of France, however has refrained from apologizing to Deschamps.
