Kevin De Bruyne set to leave Chelsea for Wolfsburg

According to BBC Sport, Chelsea’s Belgian midfielder, Kevin De Bruyne is all set to leave the club in the next 48 hours and join Bundesliga side, VFL Wolfsburg.

Chelsea most likely would receive £16 million as the player’s transfer fees from Wolfsburg.

The 22-year-old Belgian is likely to sign a five-year deal with the Bundesliga side. With De Bruyne’s transfer fee, Chelsea can look forward to rope in their old target Nemanja Matic from Befica.

Chelsea boss, Jose Mourinho had identified Matic as a key target in this transfer window and talks are under way between the clubs over a fee that is expected to exceed £20 million.

The Serbian defensive midfielder, Matic, left Chelsea in 2011 to make way for Brazilian defender, David Luiz into the side.
