According to our sources, Liverpool have contacted Inter Milan regarding their star player Mateo Kovacic. We understand talks are at early stage and that the Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has been scouting the player for some time and will push for the transfer.
Kovacic has had a good season at Inter Milan where he is very highly rated and thought to be an integral part of Inter’s plans going forward. Still only 20, Kovacic is the sort of player Liverpool will be looking to add to add more guile and depth to their current squad as they play in the Champions League next season.
Inter Milan are going through a period of transition right now and will be unhappy to lose a player whom they want to build their team around.
