Former Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez has joined the race to sign French midfielder Yann M’Vila, who wants to move to the Premier League.
Napoli lie third in the table but are 10 points behind leaders Juventus, thus Benitez wants to increase the size of his squad to challenge the “Old Lady” in the second half of the season.
Benitez wanted to buy Radja Nainggolan from Cagliari, but he moved to Roma instead, so he has turned his attention towards M’Vila .
Former Rennes midfielder M’Vila attended the Merseyside derby last year, which started rumours of a move to either Everton or Liverpool. Liverpool Defender Aly Cissokho shared a photo of himself and M’vila on a popular Social media site which sparked further rumours.
