According to Tribal Football via Okadiario, Real Madrid legend Sergio Ramos is a target of Premier League side Newcastle United. The veteran defender is without a club after leaving his boyhood club Sevilla this summer.
Ramos is one of the greatest defenders in the sport's history, bagging 117 club goals in 816 combined games for Los Blancos, Paris Saint-Germain and Sevilla. He made his most significant impact with Madrid, scoring 101 goals in 671 appearances to help the club to four UEFA Champions League, five La Liga and two Copa del Rey titles, among others.
Ramos has reportedly been offered an 18-month contract by the Tyneside outfit worth €10 million to play in the Premier League this season. The 38-year-old defender is also considering offers from Boca Juniors and Corinthians.
”Real Madrid will be in Champions League final” - Carlo Ancelotti after Liverpool loss
Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has warned all of Europe after his side lost 2-0 at Premier League giants Liverpool in the UEFA Champions League in the week. The Spanish giants have been far from their best this season and look in danger of losing their European and domestic crowns heading into the festive period.
Los Blancos were a force of nature last season and won La Liga and Champions League under their legendary Italian tactician. However, they have failed to replicate the same dominance this season. They are behind eternal rivals Barcelona in La Liga and look in danger of dropping out of the Champions League.
Ancelotti, though, remains bullish on his side's abilities as he fired a warning to the rest of Europe (as per GSFN via El Larguero):
"Real Madrid will be in Champions League final, in Munich. We will be there.”
Real Madrid face Getafe in La Liga next at the Santiago Bernabeu on Sunday (December 1). Ancelotti will then continue his promised path to the Champions League final when his side face Atalanta nine days later in a replay of the UEFA Super Cup in Warsaw, which Madrid won 2-0.
