Schurrle stars in triumph of Mourinho management

It seems that Mourinho’s controversial man management that involves dropping players from the squad if they do not perform is breeding players hungry to impress and fight for their place.

First we saw Juan Mata get the treatment and then Andre Schurrle.

Schurrle was given a start along with Mata in the game against Steaua Bucharest and they did not disappoint. This was a comfortable, professional performance away from home and that score flattered the home team.

The star of the show was Schurrle who despite not getting on the scoresheet was a constant threat to Bucharest.

He was man of the match in the game with a glittering performance that including an assist and the ability to torment the Bucharest right back at will.

He was playing wide on the left and played like a genuine winger as the image below shows.

An impressive performance against poor opposition but very satisfying.
