Argentine striker Sergio Aguero is set to spend more time on the sidelines, according to manager Manuel Pellegrini. It is expected that the forward will be out for at least two weeks due to a hamstring problem, which effectively rules him out of the Manchester derby to be played on 25th March.

Scans are on-going and the exact injury along with the extent of the damage will be known tomorrow, when the results of the scan would be available. The 26-year-old started the game against Barcelona, but was not able to continue after half time.

Previously he had spent more than a month on the sidelines due to a hamstring injury, which he had suffered during the 5-1 win over Tottenham in January, and was featuring in only his third match post the injury.

City, who crashed out of the Champions League at the hands of Barcelona, are 9 points behind Chelsea in the Premier League, having played 3 matches less.
