SK Amaze: Joe Hart's outstanding save against Slovenia for England

Unbeatable : Joe Hart

Former Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart has always had talent. It’s just that in recent months, people seem to have forgotten how good of a goalkeeper he really is.

And boy, did he remind everyone of his true self in England’s game against Slovenia, making a string of saves to keep the Three Lions unbeaten in their qualifying campaign.

England had Hart to thank as they took a point against Slovenia and now remain at the top of their qualifying group. Had it not been for the Torino man, England would have definitely lost the game. While Hart was impressive throughout the game, his standout moment came at the start of the second half.

Slovenia attacker Jasmin Kurtic connected well with a good goal-bound header, when Hart extended his left hand to stop the ball, before using his right hand to push it away to safety. Hart also needed some medical assistance after hurting himself during the special save, but after some help from the medical staff, he was back on his feet, and ready to complete the game.

England boss Gareth Southgate was also full of praise for his goalkeeper, and he said "We owe our goalkeeper really for getting a point, He was fantastic.”

“He's at his best when he's calm and composed, it's something we've discussed and this week his manner has been very calm. He was at his best tonight. It was a brilliant save, we didn't start either half well and it’s an outstanding save that gets us a point.”

Hart also spoke about the effort he put in during the game, and he told reporters "My body is in pieces. I don't know what happened for the save, but I landed on the frame of the goal. I don't think I'll be able to get up in the morning. It was my best game for a while. I was asked to do quite a bit but that was down to a few errors by us."

Such a stellar performance makes Joe Hart’s spectacular save our play of the day.
