#2 Raheem Sterling

Raheem Sterling was arguably Manchester City's best player in their title defence last season and could have easily walked away with the PFA Player of the Season award if it wasn't for Vvan Dijk.
The English international played 34 games throughout the campaign and registered 17 goals and 10 assists. He was included in the PFA Team of the Year for his exploits, and if he manages to continue his current form next season as well, he could become the first Englishman to win the Ballon d'Or since Micheal Owen in 2001.
#1 Virgil van Dijk

Van Dijk almost single-handedly transformed Liverpool's shabby defence into one of the best in Europe after his move from Southampton in January 2018, with the Reds finishing the 2018-19 season with the best defensive record in the English top division.
The Dutchman played all of the Reds' 38 league games last season, helping his team keep 21 league clean sheets in the process. He averaged 1 tackle, 4.8 aerial duals and 5.2 clearances per game.
