Piotr Zielinski to Liverpool
Polish midfielder Piotr Zielinski’s agent, Bartolomej Bolek, has confirmed to Gazzetta dello Sport that Liverpool are interested in signing the player. The Udinese star is also wanted by AC Milan and Napoli.
Experts say: Melissa Reddy of Goal, yesterday, claimed Zielinski is now expected to sign for AC Milan, after Liverpool found it very difficult to conclude a deal with Udinese.
Our take: Melissa Reddy is quite reliable on Liverpool transfer rumours, but she is also the club’s mouthpiece. Liverpool seemed very confident about signing Zielinski till now, and it’s really difficult to understand what went wrong. Klopp has constantly talked about signing the right players, and if Zielinski was identified to do the job then why are Liverpool reluctant to pay a little bit extra. We believe this could still go either way, and won’t certainly be surprised if there are more twists.

Diego Costa to Atletico Madrid
Diego Costa has informed Chelsea he wants to leave the club this summer, reports AS. Roman Abramovich and Antonio Conte have also been informed about Costa’s decision to leave the club.
Experts say: Spanish media believe Diego Costa would be allowed to leave once Chelsea sign another striker.
Our take: Firstly, it remains to be seen if Chelsea can sign another striker of similar qualities. Chelsea can’t rely on Michy Batshuayi just yet, despite his immense potential. Costa is an established striker in the Premier League, and selling him doesn’t make too much sense at the moment. Things could definitely change should Chelsea sign another striker, and it also depends on who they sign. Costa might want to leave the club, but it certainly won’t be that easy to head out of the door.

Leroy Sane to Manchester City
Manchester City have opened negotiations to sign Leroy Sane, reports Bild. Manchester City’s initial offer is too low, and Schalke reportedly want €50m for the player. The discussions are expected to continue in the coming days.
Experts say: German media insist Pep Guardiola is a big fan of Sane, and financial terms shouldn’t be an issue.
Our take: Sane has been strongly linked to Manchester City for a while now. There are reports suggesting a clause in Sane’s contract allows him to leave the Bundesliga club for€37m next summer, with 10% of the transfer fee going into the player’s pocket. That’d mean Schalke will only get around €33m for the player next summer against the €50m they’re holding out for this summer. Schalke are likely to sell the player this summer should Manchester City make a tempting offer.
