Chelsea won the Title in 2009-10 season by a single point, but scored 103 goals and had a goal difference of +71.
This was mainly due to the form of their strikers, lets take a look at the performance of their strikers in that season…
As we can see, the strikers contributed 45 goals, almost half the total tally.
This season however the story has been different. The trio of Torres, Eto’o and Ba have struggled to find consistency.
Although there is some way to go before the season finishes, the above readings should worry any Chelsea fan as this is not the form that one expects from their strikers, especially when they are expected to challenge for the title.
