Stéphane Sessègnon gets a ban for drink driving

West Bromwich Albion v Sunderland - Premier League

West Bromwich Albion midfielder Stephane Sessegnon was banned from driving for 20 months after driving a car while being drunk. The Benin international was caught by the Police in Newcastle in the month of August where he was found to have consumed more than double for the drink driving limit. However, at that time he was a player for The Cats.

He has been found guilty of not only of drunk driving but also driving without a license. After appearing at the Newcastle Magistrate’s Court he received three points in his driving license and was fined a heavy sum of £7,605. Also he has been told that he can reduce this punishment by five months if he passes a Drink Driving Rehabilitation course.
