Super Cup 2018/2019: Three players who could decide the tie in Atletico Madrid's favor

AS Monaco v Juventus - UEFA Champions League Semi Final: First Leg

#1 Diego Costa

Club Atletico de Madrid v Valencia CF - La Liga

The controversial but talented Brazilian born Spanish striker returned to Atletico Madrid last season in a £57m deal, after three highly successful seasons with Chelsea in the Premier League.

Despite all his on-field antics, Diego Costa is a dangerous striker, and he will be smarting from Spain's disappointing performance at the World Cup. He will be keen to get that episode behind him by getting into form with Atletico Madrid.

His constant prodding and provocation of opponents means that he is as likely to receive a booking for dissent as an opponent is to be booked for retaliating against him, and with Sergio Ramos (himself no shrinking violet) in the Madrid defence, there is sure to be no shortage of on-field drama in the match.

Real Madrid would however be careful not to get distracted by his shenanigans, as he has the capacity to cause them real harm, evidenced by his equalizing goal in the final of the 2013 Copa Del Rey, in an eventual 2-1 victory which ensured Atletico Madrid defeated Real for the first time in 25 games (stretching back to 1999).
