Sunil Gavaskar will deliver the inaugural Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi lecture. The BCCI finally relented to renaming the annual lecture after Pataudi bowing to pressure from the Patuadi family, especially his wife, Sharmila Tagore.

Lewis Hamilton crashes in his first ever test session for Mercedes on Wednesday at the Jerez circuit in Spain. Hamilton quit McLaren at the end of last season and will team up with Nico Rosberg this year.

5. Rafael Nadal makes the winning Swing

Rafael Nadal made a winning return to singles action with a 6-3, 6-2 win over qualifier Federico Delbonis in the 2nd round of the Vina Del Mar ATP event in Chile. It was his first singles match in 7 months after last years’ Wimbledon.

6. India’s inaugural Beach Soccer Tournament

India’s inaugural Beach Soccer Tournament kicked off in Goa yesterday. The event was inaugurated by Deputy Chief Minister Francis D’Souza at Calangute Beach. 64 teams from all over India will battle it out to win top honours.

7. Lance Armstrong now wants to be part of a solution

Lance Armstrong wants to be part of solution to doping, the USADA has claimed. Lance Armstrong admitted to doping extensively to win his 7 Tour De France titles last month.

8. LeBron not pleased with the referee’s call

LeBron James complains to the referee during the Miami Heat’s win against the Houston Rockets last night. The Heat won 114-108, their 7th consecutive win against the Rockets.

9. Bruno Samartino talks about his induction

Bruno Samartino is the latest addition into the prestigious WWE Hall of Fame of the 2013 class. Bruno is an inspiration to many WWE Superstars of the current generation, like John Cena and The Miz.
