Both Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Gattuso are known for their tempers and Gattuso was at the wrong place at the wrong time when the Swedish striker's temper boiled over.

Constant trash talking from the Italian on the practice pitch ended up with him in the trash bin courtesy of the maverick Swedish forward. The trio played together at Milan, helping the club to the 2011 Serie A title, before Ibrahimovic and Silva departed for Paris Saint-Germain the following year.

Thiago Silva shed light on this amusing story. Speaking to Sky Deutschland., Silva said:

"The protagonist of this story is Zlatan Ibrahimovic,

"One day, during a training session, Gattuso spent all morning teasing Zlatan. He was provoking him, and Zlatan took it without apparently saying anything. In fact his revenge would come soon after.

"Rino [Gattuso] and Zlatan met again in the dressing room after training, and Ibra lifted the entire weight of his team-mate, flipped him over and threw him in the bin!

"It was crazy, we all started laughing thinking about Gattuso's face. I swear, I couldn't stop laughing for a week!"

Ibrahimovic has been in stunning form for PSG this season and he will be hoping to make an impact in their Champions League quarter-final match against Manchester City.

Zlatan says he gambled with his future

As reported by Fotbollskanalen, in a recent interview given to TV4, Zlatan said, “This season I played poker and went all-in. I could have had a catastrophic season, and then I would have been fishing for a club just by being Ibrahimovic. But now clubs are fishing for Ibrahimovic.”

When asked about the number of clubs who are “fishing for Ibrahimovic”, the former AC Milan man answered, “There are many clubs that are fishing. I just have to see how big the bait is on the hook. It has to be a d*mn big bait.

“A lot of factors have to fit. Not just football-wise, but off the pitch as well. It's the first time I am in this situation where I am not dependent on a third party. It's like a marriage, it's two parties. Both parties have to want it just as much, then it's a perfect match. We'll have to see how much the other party wants it. But the future looks good. It could be that I retire, nobody has thought of that,” added the Sweden international.

A number of clubs will be hoping to secure Zlatan’s signature in the summer transfer window.
