Real Madrid fans will be thrilled with the fact that Cristiano Ronaldo is back in training. The Portuguese rarely misses a game through injury and will be desperate to play on Tuesday night. Manchester City have been warned by another great striker, Thierry Henry as to how devastating Ronaldo can be.

Several criticized Ronaldo’s form at certain times this season when the forward was not at his best, but once again the forward has proved his doubters wrong. Ronaldo is currently three goals behind Luis Suarez in the race for the European Golden boot.

Henry was very upset with Ronaldo’s criticism and wonders how people still doubt his ability saying, “It amazes me that some people still question if he is one of the all-time greats. The guy is a phenomenon.”

Ronaldo can destroy teams almost single-handedly when he’s on song and Henry has warned City of being distracted by him. “But City can’t afford to be hypnotised by one guy when the two sides clash on Tuesday. Madrid have far too much quality in every position.”

In Ronaldo’s absence, Gareth Bale fired Real Madrid to a come from behind victory against Rayo Vallecano on Saturday, keeping up the pressure on Barcelona at the top of La Liga. But Karim Benzema was injured during the match, and his fitness is a concern for Los Blancos.

The Arsenal legend believes Real are at their best when all the members of the BBC trio are playing.”There is no doubt that Ronaldo is a better player when he is alongside Karim Benzema, who provides Madrid with the perfect attacking balance along with Gareth Bale.”

Henry also spoke about Madrid’s killer instinct and the team’s desire to score as many goals as possible in a match. “Most teams go two or three goals up and then take their strikers off to give them a rest. Like Barcelona, Real just keep going for the kill, turning a 3-0 win into a 7-0 or 8-0 victory.”

City’s defence has been the most concerning aspect of their play for Manuel Pellegrini this season. It has cost them a lot of points in the Premier League but they have somehow managed to make it this far in the Champions League.

But Real Madrid are a different animal altogether and won’t be as easy to defend against as the other opposition City have faced so far.
