Tom Huddlestone gets a surprise birthday gift Hull City midfielder Tom Huddlestone is at long last going to pay a visit to the barber after he ended his 32-month goal drought with a goal against Fulham. The goal against Fulham on Saturday, Hull City?s fourth in a 6-0 rout, was Huddlestone?s first after he had scored in a 3-3 draw against Arsenal in April 2011. The England international had made a bet while he was at his previous club Tottenham Hotspur that he would not get a haircut until he scored a goal & after a long wait, he honored his bet when he got a strand of his hair cut pitch-side by the Hull City staff immediately after he had scored. Huddlestone has confirmed that he was growing his hair out all the while for a charity cause. It is believed that the midfielder has already raised close to £25,000 for Cancer Research UK, but has set a target of £75,000. With Huddlestone?s cause gaining widespread media attention since Saturday, reaching the target should not be too difficult. Hull City striker Sone Aluko has offered to donate £2002 if Huddlestone goes for Ronaldo?s buzz-cut which the Brazilian immortalized in 2002 while Queens Park Rangers defender Nedum Onuoha has already donated £5000 to the cause. The Tigers midfielder took to Twitter to thank fans & footballers alike for making donations and also welcomed suggestions for his new look. : Like to thank everyone for the donations, if anyone wishes to donate the link is http://t.co/gZAAacGZDA also hair cut ideas are welcomed ?
