#6 Emiliano Martinez - 153 FPL points

Emiliano Martínez has been a rock at the heart of Aston Villa's defence this season.

After winning the FA Cup and the Community Shield with Arsenal under Arteta, Emiliano Martínez had a tough decision to make: stay at Arsenal and be a second-choice to Leno or join Aston Villa and take up a new challenge.

He chose the latter, with the decision paying off, as he has become the undisputed no. 1 at Villa after joining Villa in the summer for around £20 million. Martinez has kept 14 clean sheets, helping his team stay in the top half of the table for most of the season.

For a team that just escaped relegation last season, it has been a huge step forward.

The Argentinian has formed one of the best defensive partnerships in the league with Tyrone Mings and Ezri Konsa, who have been giving solid performances playing in front of him.

Having accumulated 153 FPL points this season, there is no surprise Martinez is the most -wned goalkeeper in the FPL. He is trusted by his FPL managers, who certainly expect a few more clean sheets from him in the games to come.

#5 Patrick Bamford - 156 FPL points

Leeds United are a delight to watch if you love free-flowing, relentless attacking football.

Spearheading that attack is the charismatic 27-year-old Patrick Bamford who has been the star of the Leeds team under Marcelo Bielsa after they returned to the Premier League for the first time since 2003.

After unsuccessful stints across the Premier League with teams like Middlesbrough, Burnley, Norwich City and Crystal Palace, Bamford had many doubters about his ability to flourish at the top level of English football.

There certainly aren't any doubters now, as Bamford has accumulated 14 goals and six assists. He has also showed through his link-up play and excellent passing that he can be much more than a striker.

For FPL managers, he is almost always a regular starter in their team, given the attacking play of Leeds.

#4 Mohamed Salah - 173 FPL points

Mohamed Salah has yet again been the star in what has been an underwhelming Premier League season for Liverpool

Liverpool may be having a horrible season considering the standards they have set for themselves over the past few seasons. But Mohamed Salah is still joint top in the race for his third Golden Boot in four seasons.

It is an achievement which is sometimes taken for granted due to the phenomenal first season Salah had with the Reds, setting unreal standards for himself in the process. Salah has arguably been the only player at Liverpool who seems to be performing at the level that helped Liverpool dominate the league last season.

The Egyptian has 17 goals and three assists to his name this season. Although he hasn't rewarded his FPL owners in the last few gameweeks, one can always expect the 28-year-old to come up with goal contributions, considering the relentlessness and desire he possesses.

He has 174 FPL points and is a must-have in teams.
