Chelsea have been one of the most successful clubs in Europe in the 21st century

#9 Andriy Shevchenko

Chelsea v Sunderland - Premier League
The Ballon d'Or winner failed to make an impact at the Stamford Bridge.

The iconic Ukranian was brought in from AC Milan in 2006 for a fee of just over £30 million to complement Didier Drogba at the heart of Chelsea's attack.

Shevchenko arrived at the Bridge with a massive reputation having won the Ballon d'Or with AC Milan in 2004 - the Ukraine skipper was touted for great things at Chelsea.

The striker, however, turned out to be a huge flop at Stamford Bridge as he could only manage 22 goals in 77 appearances for the club and was loaned back to the Rossoneri.
