#3 Donny Van de Beek

Brighton And Hove Albion v Manchester United - Carabao Cup Fourth Round

It seems odd to add the name of a player who only joined his current club 3 months ago.

Van de Beek moved from Ajax to Manchester United in a deal worth £40 million. The Dutch international was massively impressive during his time at Ajax, with whom he made it to the finals of the Europa League and the semifinals of the Champions League.

Van de Beek was linked with moves to Barcelona, Real Madrid and Manchester United after his showings for Ajax and decided to join the Red Devils this summer.

Despite the large outlay made by United to sign Van de Beek, the Dutchman has played on 59 minutes of Premier League football this season.

Van de Beek was an unused substitute in Manchester United's home draw against Chelsea last weekend.

The 23-year-old has struggled to break in United's midfielder, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer preferring to play Paul Pogba, Bruno Fernandes, Fred and Scott McTominay ahead of him.

Van de Beek might be regretting his move to Manchester already, but it remains to be seen how much of an impact he will have at the club over the next few months.

#2 Luka Jovic

Luka Jovic's rise to stardom was nothing short of epic. The Serbian caught everyone's eye during his time on loan at Frankfurt from Benfica.

He became the youngest players to score 5 goals in a Bundesliga game at Frankfurt, and scored 10 goals in the Europa League for the German club.

Jovic's performances for Frankfurt made Real Madrid spend £60 million to secure his services in the summer of 2019.

The 22-year-old has however, been a massive flop at Real Madrid, scoring just 2 goals in 20 La Liga appearances for the club.

Jovic was linked with a move away from Real Madrid in the summer, but seems to have been given another chance to prove himself at the Bernabeu.

Jovic is currently being used as an impact sub by Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane, and is unlikely to find his way into the starting line up.

#1 Mesut Ozil

Mesut Ozil's falling out with Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has been one of the most documented stories in recent times.

Özil relocated to England to join Premier League club Arsenal in a then club-record deal worth £42.5 million.

During his first season, Özil helped end Arsenal's nine-year trophy drought, winning the FA Cup in 2014.

He later became victorious in two more FA Cup campaigns. Özil would also record the second most assists (19) in a Premier League season in 2015–16.

The German playmaker has struggled to find regular playing time at Arsenal since the departure of former boss Arsene Wenger.

Özil has not played for Arsenal since football season resumed and has now been left out of the Gunners squad for the Premier League and Europa League this season.

Ozil is currently Arsenal's highest-paid player, and seems to be keen on staying at the club till his contract expired next summer.

The 31-year-old has had a massive fall from fame in recent years, and would benefit greatly from leaving the North-London club.
