#2 Alvaro Morata - €66 million
The London-based club spent a whopping amount of €66 million to sign Alvaro Morata from Real Madrid in the summer transfer window of 2017.
The 26-year-old striker enjoyed huge successes with Real Madrid and Juventus before joining Chelsea and the Blues had to beat a number of big clubs to secure his services. However, he failed to replicate his previous successes with the Premier League club and managed to scored just 15 goals in 48 games in all competitions during his first season with the club.
The Spanish international looked out of form this season as well and was criticized by both fans and media for his poor showings for the Blues. He managed to score just five league goals this season and often found himself out of the starting XI of the club.
The former Real Madrid man is being linked with a move away from Chelsea during the recent weeks and will mostly be remembered by the Chelsea fans as a 'flop'.
