They are the stars of any football team- players who people pay to watch and kids love to admire. We are talking about strikers or centre-forwards as they were earlier called.

Football games are won on goals and therefore it is no wonder that strikers are idolised and hero-worshipped. Some go on to become heroes of their respective clubs while others earn the admiration and respect of an entire country.

Over the years, the Premier League has produced some world-class strikers such as Wayne Rooney, Didier Drogba, Robin van Persie and Ruud van Nistelrooy who were all men gifted with class and charm. The Premier League is in full swing and thus, there is no better time to pick four of the best goal predators in the league at the moment.

1) Raul Jimenez (Wolves)

Mexican centre-forward Raul Jimenez has been the main reason why Wolverhampton Wanderers are placed at the seventh position in the Premier League table right now. Of course, Ruben Neves, Joao Moutinho and Matt Doherty have played their parts to perfection, but Jimenez's nine goals and five assists in the season so far have been the main talking point.

He is extremely strong on the ball and can find the back of the net from any position. He is also agile and fast.

2) Sergio Aguero (Manchester City)

Manchester City's Argentinian striker Sergio Aguero scored the tenth hat-trick of his Premier League career on Sunday against Arsenal and is one of the best exponents of this art. Known widely as the 'silver fox', Aguero may only be five foot eight in height but is extremely gifted with the ball at his feet.

Pep Guardiola trusts him a lot and Aguero has repaid the manager's faith by scoring 14 goals and making 6 assists in this season.

3) Marcus Rashford (Manchester United)

Manchester United's Marcus Rashford has been a revelation ever since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took over the club's reins. He has scored nine goals and given six assists in this season so far. Rashford is quick and agile but the only thing that has held him back is his finishing.

The Manchester United Academy graduate is one of the best strikers in the Premier League at the moment and is in red-hot form.

4) Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (Arsenal)

Gabon international Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been paired along with fellow striker Alexandre Lacazette in the front of the park by Arsenal manager Unai Emery but has still managed to score 15 goals and provide 4 assists in the season so far. Sometimes he has played in the CAM position but Aubameyang is a pure striker.

The Gunners signed him from Borussia Dortmund in January last year and he has been prolific since then.

Note: Unlucky to miss out from this list were Alexandar Mitrovic, Harry Kane and Calum Wilson.
