#5 Romelu Lukaku

The big boy from Belgium, still only 24 years old, is one of the best strikers of the game today. Imported from the Belgian Jupiler Pro League, he made his debut for Chelsea FC in the 2011/12 season. Further loan spells at West Bromwich Albion and Everton saw him flourish.

His goal scoring spree was rewarded with a permanent move to Everton, where he went on to establish himself as a robust forward.

Having already started hitting the scoring sheets with his new club Manchester United, Lukaku currently stands fifth on the active goal scorers list with 88 goals in 188 appearances. Surely he will go on to break records with age on his side.

#4 Peter Crouch

Currently plying his trade at Stoke City, the 6'7" striker started his career at Tottenham Hotspurs in the 1998/99 season.

The targetman went on to play for Aston Villa FC, Southampton FC, Liverpool FC, Portsmouth before rejoining Spurs.

The 36-year-old has 432 appearances with 103 goals, which takes him to number four in the currently active top premier league goal scorers.

The skillful Argentine has been a hit in the Premier League ever since his move from A. Madrid. Securing his legend status after slotting an injury time winner to win Manchester City the Premier League, Aguero further enhanced his reputation with his goal scoring record.

Having only played for Manchester City in the Premier League, Aguero has 123 goals in 183 appearances for the club and has been influential in winning his team two titles over the years.

#2 Jermain Defoe

The evergreen striker has played for a plenty of Premier League clubs, including the likes of West Ham United, Portsmouth, Tottenham Hotspurs, Sunderland and now at Bournemouth.

Aged 36, the speedy forward has scored 158 goals in 470 appearances and has been trusted by AFC Bournemouth to stand on his reputation after a recent England call-up.

With two goals in as many games for Everton already, Rooney has extended his record as the leading all time active scorer in the Premier League after he reached the 200 goal mark against Manchester City in his 462nd career appearance.
