#3 Benzema, Vinicius, Asensio - 33 goals (Real Madrid)

Since the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo, Real Madrid have relied on the genius of Karim Benzema in front of goal. The Frenchman has shouldered the responsibility with impeccable ease, popping up with goals and assists more often than not.

This season, too, the 2021 Nations League winner has been scoring for fun, netting 17 goals in 20 appearances in all competitions.

Unlike previous seasons, Benzema has not been the lone goal-getter for Real Madrid. Left-winger Vinicius Junior has also stepped up as a dependable goalscorer for Los Blancos.

Under Carlo Ancelotti, Vinicius has looked a lot calmer and composed in front of goal. The Brazilian already has 12 goals to his name this season and looks destined to add plenty more over the course of the campaign.

Marco Asensio has not been as prolific as the other two, but his four-goal contribution is not to be taken lightly, considering the limited opportunities he has gotten so far.

#2 Salah, Mane, Jota - 37 goals (Liverpool)

Under Jurgen Klopp, Liverpool have thrived in a 4-3-3 formation. A traditional front three, with a solid midfield base and two flying full-backs, the system was already near-perfect.

However, afraid of being caught out, Klopp has looked for more options this season. He has made it more aggressive.

With Diogo Jota coming in for Roberto Firmino, Liverpool have become even more direct in the ongoing campaign. They know how to use their pace and have the understanding to complete complicated maneuvers.

To no one’s surprise, Mohamed Salah has once again emerged as Liverpool’s most prolific forward. The Egypt international already has 19 goals to his name and is hungry for more.

Sadio Mane and Jota, on the other hand, have pitched in with nine goals each across all competitions this campaign.

#1 Lewandowski, Gnabry, Sane - 41 goals (Bayern Munich)

Robert Lewandowski missed out on his first Ballon d’Or by the narrowest of margins this year. On the pitch, however, he seems to be in a class of his own. The Poland international has already scored 25 'eligible' goals this season, with two remaining strikes coming in the DFL Supercup.

Out of his 25 wonderful strikes, 16 have come in the Bundesliga, helping Bayern Munich keep their place at the summit.

Lewandowski’s goalscoring form has been on display in the Champions League as well, with the forward scoring nine goals in only five appearances.

Although not nearly as prolific as the Bayern number 9, Serge Gnabry and Leroy Sane have also been quite potent in front of goal. Both German forwards have netted eight goals across all competitions this season.
