Newcastle United Training Session
Kenedy has returned back on loan to Newcastle ahead of the new season

The Brazilian winger made his move to the London club in 2015 after showing promise from a young age at Fluminense.

Making his professional debut at the age of 17, Kenedy was signed by Chelsea for £6.3 million after scoring five goals in 40 games for the Brazilian club.

Only 22, Kenedy has spent three years at Chelsea, two on loan, and made 15 appearances for the European Giants.

Kenedy has represented his country at the under 17, under 20 and under 23 level, earning 22 caps and scoring seven goals across the three levels.

In the 2017/18 season, Kenedy secured a loan deal to fellow Premier League side, Newcastle, after failing to make an appearance for Chelsea all season. Kenedy enjoyed a successful loan spell under Rafa Benitez, impressing on debut by creating the opening goal in a 1-1 draw against Burnley.

The Chelsea winger has secured a return to Newcastle on a season long loan with an option to buy after his successful 2018 campaign. Kenedy will be Newcastle's third addition of the summer following the signings of Slovakia goalkeeper Martin Dubravka and South Korea midfielder Ki Sung-yueng, as they hope to improve on their tenth place finish in last years Premier League season.

#4 Tammy Abraham

Swansea City v Stoke City - Premier League
Abraham made his senior debut for Chelsea in 2016

An academy graduate for Chelsea, the 20-year-old English striker made his senior debut for the club in 2016, before being sent out to two loan spells at Bristol City and Swansea City. Abraham joined Chelsea at the under-8 level and was part of the youth team that saw consecutive wins in both the UEFA youth league and the FA youth cup in 2015 and 2016.

The 2017/18 season saw both club and player struggle as Abraham scored five goals in 31 games for a Swansea side that would get relegated on the final day of the season.

After signing a five-year deal to Chelsea midway through 2017, a poor loan spell has seen the striker on the outskirts of the squad, and with Maurizio Sarri coming in, Abraham looks like he could potentially be departing ways with a possible return to Bristol City on the cards.

#3 Ruben Loftus-Cheek

Belgium v England: 3rd Place Playoff - 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia
Loftus-Cheek had a huge role to play for Crystal Palace last season

The 22-year-old English midfielder joined the Chelsea youth ranks at the early age of eight and has since impressed with his talents around the pitch.

Loftus-Cheek made his senior debut for the London club in 2014 coming on as a substitute in a Champions League game for Cesc Fabregas.

Since then, appearances for Chelsea have been few and far between, only making reaching the pitch 22 times since 2014.

The 2017/18 season saw Loftus-Cheek star for Crystal Palace as he helped them secure their position in the Premier League with an 11th place finish.

His performances earned him a call-up to the England World Cup squad where, when giving the chance, he performed above expectations while coming on as a sub or starting.

After a career-best year in 2018, it is still extremely hard for Loftus-Cheek to crack into the first team at Chelsea so whether another loan deal is to come or perhaps a permanent move away we will have to wait and see.

#2 Kurt Zouma

Swansea City v Stoke City - Premier League
Zouma has earned 71 appearances for the club in all competitions

The 23-year-old French centre-back signed for Chelsea for £12 million from Saint Etienne in January 2014.

Since signing Zouma has earned 71 appearances for the club in all competitions, and was a regular starter in the 2015/16 season under interim manager Guus Hiddink before rupturing his ACL and being sidelined for six months.

Following agreeing to a new six-year deal with Chelsea on July 2017, Zouma was sent out on loan to fellow Premier League side Stoke City.

Zouma put in multiple solid performances for Stoke playing 37 games, only missing one against his parent club in the 2017/18 season.

Although he showed promise throughout the season he couldn't help enough as Stoke City finished 19th and were relegated from the Premier League.

A look forward to the 2018/19 season sees Zouma facing fierce competition for a starting berth at Chelsea.

New manager Sarri prefers a standard flat four in defence so there will only be two starting positions to fight for between five or six quality defenders.

Chelsea will not be looking to let Zouma leave the club permanently as the talented young defender will most likely be sent on another loan spell with a Premier League club.

#1 Michy Batshuayi

Belgium v France: Semi Final - 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia
The striker was signed for a reported fee of £33 million from Marseille in July 2016

Without a doubt, the most talented player on Chelsea's loan list, the striker was signed for a reported fee of £33 million from Marseille in July 2016.

In his debut season for the club, Batshuayi scored the goal that sealed the Premier League title for Chelsea in the 2016/17 season.

The 24-year-old Belgium international was forced out on a loan deal with Borussia Dortmund midway through the 2017/18 season, after falling out with then manager Conte who continued to fail in showing faith on Batshuayi as he refused to start him even while frontman Morata was out injured.

After the signing of Olivier Giroud from Arsenal, Batshuayi was sent out on loan to Dortmund where he enjoyed a successful spell scoring nine goals in 14 appearances.

It remains to be seen what is left for Batshuayi at Chelsea, whether or not he will be able to impress under the new management, and if not it is highly likely he will be sold permanently before the start of the new season.
