Romelu Lukaku is fast emerging to be one of Inter Milan's best signings in recent times, with the Belgian plundering goals at a phenomenal rate.

The Nerazzurri finished second in Serie A and also reached the final of the Europa League last season on the back of Lukaku's blistering goal-scoring exploits.

He equalled Ronaldo Nazario's record for most goals for Inter Milan in a debut campaign. Lukaku scored 34 goals in all competitions, with 23 of them coming in the Serie A; the Belgian has added a further 12 so far this season from 18 games.

Lukaku's Manchester United tenure may have ended on a sour note, as a loss of form prompted the star to seek greener pastures. But he has breathed new life into his career again, scoring 51 times since departing Old Trafford only 18 months ago.

#2 Ciro Immobile (Lazio) - 13 goals

Lazio's talismanic forward Ciro Immobile struggled to find a permanent address earlier on in his career. But he has found his true home in Rome, with the player enjoying the best spell of his professional career.

Last season, the Italian striker equalled the record for most goals in a single Serie A campaign. Immobile scored 36 goals to win the Capocannoniere award for the third time as well as a maiden European Golden Boot.

Even though Le Aquile have been struggling in the Serie A this season, Immobile has been on song, netting 13 times from 17 games.

Cristiano Ronaldo's goalscoring rate hasn't diminished since arriving at Juventus. But the Golden Boot award has somehow eluded him, as he finished third and second respectively in the standings in his last two campaigns.

However, the Portugal captain is determined to get third time lucky. The soon-to-be 36-year old is currently leading the race with 15 Serie A goals from as many appearances.

The 35-year-old has won four titles with the Bianconeri, which includes two Serie A titles. But Ronaldo shows no signs of slowing down and is determined to win a few individual honours too.
