Ndombele was a star in France but is struggling in England

France international Tanguy Ndombele moved to the Premier League with a very huge reputation. The 23-year-old arrived as one of the best midfielders from Ligue 1, having starred with Olympique Lyon.

With Tottenham Hotspur winning his signature over other clubs like Manchester United, it was expected that Ndombele would take his career to the next level in north London. However, in just over eight months, he has gone from a player being linked with some of Europe’s elite clubs to a benchwarmer at Spurs.

He currently cannot get into the starting line-up, with Jose Mourinho preferring Harry Winks and Moussa Sissoko in the middle of the park. Surely, it hasn’t gone well for Ndombele despite the hype that surrounded his transfer.
