#3 Wesley Sneijder

Sneijder was one of the in-demand young players in the world when Real Madrid signed him in 2007, as the second most expensive Dutch footballer. The Dutch international had an impressive debut season, scoring nine goals and making six assists as he helped Real Madrid win the 2007/08 La Liga title.

But, the Madrid nightlife got the better of Sneijder as the attacking midfielder struggled the following season. Lack of form and the arrival of the second generation of the Galacticos saw the attacking midfielder leaving the club in 2009. The Dutchman made 66 appearances and scored eleven times during his brief two-years with Los Blancos.

The Dutchman moved to Inter Milan in 2009 and had an immediate impact on the club. The Nerazzurri defied the odds and became the first Italian team to win the treble in a historic 2009-10 season. Wesley Sneijder and Inter Milan continued their success the following season as they added the UEFA Super Cup, Club World Cup, and the Coppa Italia to their coffers.

The attacking midfielder was arguably one of the best players in the world during the short two-year period. But, things started falling downhill following the 2010-11 season. A series of injuries saw Sneijder struggling to play regular minutes. The Dutchman never really rediscovered his form after that. He left the club in 2013 after making 116 appearances and scoring 22 goals.

#2 Ivan Zamorano

Zamorano is one of the most underrated players of his generation. The Chilean joined Real Madrid in 1992 after a successful spell with Sevilla. Zamorano quickly adjusted to the surroundings in Real Madrid. The striker scored 26 goals in his debut season but couldn't help Los Blancos end Johan Cryuff's dream team from Spanish domination.

The Chilean, though, helped Los Blancos dethrone the Catalonians two years later. Zamorano won the Pichichi in the 1994-95 season as Real Madrid, ending Barcelona's four-year stronghold on the La Liga. He also scored a hattrick against Barcelona in the El Classico en route to Real Madrid's title run, becoming the last player to do so.

The arrival of the first generation of the Galacticos saw Zamorano moved out of the club. The Chilean left the club in 1996 after making 173 appearances and scoring 101 goals.

Real Madrid's loss was Inter Milan gain as the Chilean became the Nerazzurri focal point. With his iconic '9+1' jersey, Zamorano helped Nerazzurri win their third and last UEFA Cup in 1998. In a decade when Juventus and AC Milan ruled Italy, Zamorano and his men often fell short of their opponents. A legendary figure at San Siro, Zamorano made 148 appearances and scored 40 goals before leaving the club in 2001.
