#3 Chelsea to extend their winning run against Newcastle United

Current Premier League leaders Chelsea are enjoying a purple patch at the moment. In their third Champions League Group H fixture last week, the Blues secured a convincing 4-0 win over Malmo.

The Blues next ran circles around Norwich City in the Premier League, registering a massive 7-0 win on Sunday. Finally, on Tuesday, Tuchel fielded a much-changed Chelsea XI against Southampton in the Carabao Cup, but still saw them through on penalties.

Newcastle United, on the other hand, have not registered a win in their last five Premier League matches. They lost two and drew the other three. Their most recent encounter ended in a 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace, with Callum Wilson scoring the equalizer.

The two teams are on opposite ends of the spectrum at the moment, and we expect Chelsea to only widen the gap on Saturday.

#2 Liverpool to cruise home against a struggling Brighton

Brighton & Hove Albion started the 2021-22 Premier League campaign in fine fashion. Graham Potter’s team were resilient in the opening exchanges and beat the likes of Burnley and Watford comfortably.

Brighton were beaten by Everton in late August but bounced back with two consecutive wins, one of which was against Leicester City. But since that Premier League win, Brighton have failed to get going again.

Their last league encounter ended in a 4-1 defeat, courtesy of Manchester City, and we are afraid Liverpool will not be any kinder.

The Reds registered a historic 5-0 win over Manchester United at Old Trafford last weekend and will look to let the good times roll.

With every player firing on all cylinders, we cannot see Liverpool dropping points, especially against an out-of-shape Brighton at Anfield.

#1 Manchester United could struggle to get all three points against Tottenham Hotspur

Last Sunday, Liverpool and Manchester United went head-to-head in the Premier League. In front of a packed Old Trafford, Liverpool produced an exquisite brand of football, keeping the hosts on the backfoot for the entire 90 minutes.

Buoyed by a sensational Mohamed Salah hat-trick, Liverpool cruised to a 5-0 win.

The crushing loss marked Manchester United’s joint-worst Premier League defeat at Old Trafford, with the others being the 1-6 losses to Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur in 2011 and 2020 respectively. Bouncing back from such a massive loss will be difficult for United and we are not sure if they have the right temperament for it.

Their rivals Tottenham Hotspur are in a bit of a mess themselves and were beaten by West Ham last Sunday. However, at home, they remain a force to be reckoned with and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s United might struggle to bag maximum points.

Manchester United will need their biggest guns to fire to get three points and Spurs will do all they can to dampen their spirits.
