Top candidates for Player of the Season from each of top 6 Premier League clubs
Here we take a look at one player from each of top 6 Premier League clubs who could be their Player of the Season.
We are just weeks away from the end of 2017/18 Premier League season. The 'Professional Footballers' Association Team of the Year' has been announced recently, along with the nominees for 'PFA Player of the Year award'.
Manchester City has already won the Premier League title and in doing so, they set the Premier League record by winning the title with 5 games to spare. As of now, the Red Devils are well placed to finish second, followed by Liverpool in third. Arsenal's chance of a top 4 finish has vanished. Premier League has witnessed some excellent performances from the players of these top 6 clubs.
On that note, let's take a look at one player from each club who could be their Player of the Season.
#6 Arsenal: Mesut Ozil
In a season of failures and disappointments, Mesut Ozil has been a shining light for Arsenal. Though this is not even close to his best Premier League season, the German playmaker has been the best player at the Emirates this season.
With 4 goals and 8 assists in his 24 Premier League starts, the 29-year-old has shown consistency and class. With an average of 3.2 key passes per game, Ozil has been a creative avenue for Arsene Wenger.
He shouldered addition responsibilities after the departure of Alexis Sanchez to Manchester United and did an excellent job for Arsenal. He deserves the honor more than any Arsenal player this campaign.
Honorable Mention: Aaron Ramsey
