We are just weeks away from the end of 2017/18 Premier League season. The 'Professional Footballers' Association Team of the Year' has been announced recently, along with the nominees for 'PFA Player of the Year award'.

Manchester City has already won the Premier League title and in doing so, they set the Premier League record by winning the title with 5 games to spare. As of now, the Red Devils are well placed to finish second, followed by Liverpool in third. Arsenal's chance of a top 4 finish has vanished. Premier League has witnessed some excellent performances from the players of these top 6 clubs.

On that note, let's take a look at one player from each club who could be their Player of the Season.

#6 Arsenal: Mesut Ozil

In a season of failures and disappointments, Mesut Ozil has been a shining light for Arsenal. Though this is not even close to his best Premier League season, the German playmaker has been the best player at the Emirates this season.

With 4 goals and 8 assists in his 24 Premier League starts, the 29-year-old has shown consistency and class. With an average of 3.2 key passes per game, Ozil has been a creative avenue for Arsene Wenger.

He shouldered addition responsibilities after the departure of Alexis Sanchez to Manchester United and did an excellent job for Arsenal. He deserves the honor more than any Arsenal player this campaign.

#5 Chelsea: N'Golo Kante

The 2016/17 Premier League Player of the Season and PFA Players' Player of the Year is having another solid season with Chelsea. Antonio Conte's men are currently fifth in the Premier League standings, five points behind fourth-placed Tottenham Hotspur.

The Blues are hugely inconsistent this season and not playing their best football at the moment. Most of the Chelsea players are below-par this season, definitely barring N'Golo Kante.

He is arguably their best player in the Premier League this season.He averages 3.4 tackles per game this season and is the third best in Premier League in terms of the number of successful tackles. He is the heartbeat of this Chelsea side and without him, they are definitely not the best in Premier League.

They conceded 11 goals and won just seven points in the five games during his absence in October.

#4 Tottenham Hotspur: Christian Eriksen

When Harry Kane gets all the attention for scoring loads of goals, Christian Eriksen has been the engine room behind Spurs attacking play. He was named in the PFA Team of the Season this week and has been a consistent performer for Tottenham.

He is one of those players who can everything on a football pitch. He can score goals, create them, and knock the opponents' door all the time. The 26-year-old has scored 10 goals and assisted 9 more in the Premier League this season.

The Denmark International has created 82 chances in the Premier League so far this campaign. He is an ever-present player in Pochettino's line up and only Jan Vertonghen has played more minutes than Christian Eriksen.

#3 Liverpool: Mo Salah

Mo Salah is taking the Premier League by storm this season this season. The 25-year-old wizard from Egypt is the top scorer in Premier League as of now. Salah has scored 31 goals in the Premier League and helped Liverpool amass 71 points so far.

The Egyptian was prolific in front of goal this season as has scored some stunning goals. His ball control, first touch, and dribbling were excellent this campaign. He also becomes the third player in Premier League history to be directly involved in 40+ goals in a 38-game season and with 3 games to go, he could easily break that record.

Liverpool is currently third in the Premier League table, thanks to the brilliance of Mo Salah. He is definitely a revelation in European football this season.

#2 Manchester United: David de Gea

De Gea is arguably the best goalkeeper in the world

No debating here. David de Gea is Manchester United's player of the season, once again. The Spaniard has been phenomenal for Manchester United for the last few seasons.

Though Manchester United have some of the greatest talents in world football like Romelu Lukaku, Alexis Sanchez, and Paul Pogba, David de Dea is easily their best player this season.

David de Gea has kept 17 clean sheets in Premier League this season, 3 more than Ederson in second-place. According to Opta stats, De Gea has prevented a total of 13.56 goals for United in the top flight this campaign. He is far ahead of the second-best ranked goalkeeper, Nick Pope, of Burnley, who has prevented 9.42 goals.

Kevin de Bruyne is arguably the best player in Premier League this season. The Belgian has been phenomenal for Pep Guardiola throughout the campaign, scoring 7 goals and assisting 15 more.

He is a technically gifted player, regarded a lot for his wide range of passing, vision, and ability to read the game beautifully. He has made some unbelievable assists this season and played a part in all of City's 33 Premier League games so far.

The 26-year-old is an all-round attacking threat and has been at the heart of Manchester City's brilliant attacking display this season. He dictated the tempo of the game and ran the show for Pep Guardiola & Co.
