A lot has happened in the month of November, but perhaps the biggest news of them all is that Chelsea is no longer unbeaten. Tottenham gave Sarri his first taste of defeat in the Premier League in the last weekend of November. However, Manchester City and Liverpool are still unbeaten in the league and are currently top of the table in that order.

The race to the Golden Boot has seen a lot of changes in this month as well, and only three men have held on to their positions from the last month. There are 4 English men among the contenders, which will be a good sign for Gareth Southgate, however, the biggest change is at the top of the list, where we now have a new front-runner for the Golden Boot for the first time since the start of the season. Read on to find out the top contenders for the Premier League Golden Boot at the start of December 2018.

#10 Richarlison (Brazil, Everton)

Everton FC v Brighton & Hove Albion - Premier League
Everton FC v Brighton & Hove Albion - Premier League

Goals Scored - 6

The Brazilian is at 10th ahead of Lacazette, Sadio Mane, Martial and Sigurdsson, by virtue of better goals per game ratio. Richarlison had dropped out of the race previously due to a loss of form but has done well to claw his way back among the elites.

The Brazilian had a strong start to November, scoring a brace in the game against Brighton, however, he was unable to build on that performance and failed to find the net in the draw against Chelsea, the win over Cardiff and in the heartbreaking loss to Liverpool in a fierce Merseyside Derby. He started in all of those 4 games in the period and has been a part of the Everton rise under Marco Silva.

Richarlison now has 6 goals in the Premier League from 12 games this season. He has recorded 26 shots, with 13 of those on target. He has missed just 2 big chances in those games. Even though the Brazilian has been inconsistent all through the season, he has already surpassed his returns from last season and will be hoping for a better December now. Richarlison is currently 10th in the race to the Premier League Golden Boot, at the start of December.

#9 Aleksandar Mitrovic (Serbia, Fulham)

Fulham FC v Southampton FC - Premier League
Fulham FC v Southampton FC - Premier League

Goals Scored - 7

The Serbian continues to be at Number 9 among the top contenders for the Premier League Golden Boot, even though he has redeemed himself in November. Mitrovic endured a tough October, where he had failed to score, but finally found his luck last month with the arrival of Claudio Ranieri.

Mitrovic started November with back to back defeats at the hands of Huddersfield and Liverpool before the International Break. After the break though, with his new manager backing him, Mitrovic was clinical against Southampton, where he scored twice to earn his club a rare win. This past weekend, however, he failed to score against Chelsea, but the Serbian still has 7 goals from 14 games.

Mitrovic has registered 48 shot so far this season, however, only 17 of those have been on target. It is this lack of precision that has let him down so far. The Serbian has also hit the woodwork thrice this season.

#8 Callum Wilson (England, AFC Bournemouth)

Manchester City v AFC Bournemouth - Premier League

Goals Scored - 7

After three goals in October, the English Striker was supposed to be among the thick of things in November as well, and Wilson has done just that, sticking out among the big boys with ease. He has held his position in the race, after also finishing 8th at the start of November.

Wilson started November with a goal against Manchester United in a 1-2 loss at home, yet failed to score against Newcastle and Arsenal. He found the back of the net again this weekend, against League Leaders Manchester City and now has 7 goals from 14 games in the Premier League.

The Englishman has recorded 35 shots in his 14 appearances, with 15 of those on target. He has also missed 12 big chances in those games, a fact that he will be desperate to improve. By virtue of a better shooting accuracy, Callum Wilson is 8th among the top contenders for the Premier League Golden Boot at the start of December. It is interesting to note that he, like Mitrovic, has the same number of goals as two of the most dangerous players in the Premier League, who are ahead of him in this list.

#7 Mohamed Salah (Egypt, Liverpool)

Watford FC v Liverpool FC - Premier League
Watford FC v Liverpool FC - Premier League

Goals Scored - 7

He might be enduring a tough start to the season, but Mohamed Salah is still among the thick of things in the race right now. The Egyptian has dropped one place from 6th last month to 7th here, but Salah looks like he is getting back to goalscoring form, especially after a decent month.

Even though he failed to score against Arsenal in the 1-1 draw at the start of November, Salah found the back of the net against Fulham in the very next game. He followed that up with another goal against Watford after the International Break, as Liverpool continued their dominance in the Premier League. This past weekend though, he failed to score against Everton in the Merseyside Derby.

Salah now has 7 goals from 14 games but has missed 8 big chances already this season. He has been relentless in his pursuit of goal though, the Egyptian has recorded 51 shots so far in his 14 games, with 22 of those on target.

Liverpool's current run of form means that there isn't too much pressure on the Egyptian to score, but Klopp will be desperate for his main man to start finding the back of the net consistently. As of now, Salah is currently 7th among the top contenders for the Premier League Golden Boot at the start of December.

#6 Glenn Murray (England, Brighton & Hove Albion)

Brighton & Hove Albion v West Ham United - Premier League
Brighton & Hove Albion v West Ham United - Premier League

Goals Scored - 7

The English Striker is still among the contenders, even though he has slowed down a little in the recent weeks. Murray has dropped one spot from 5th at the start of November to 6th this time because he has scored just one goal in the last month.

Murray started November with 2 back to back defeats at the hands of Everton and Cardiff. However, he managed to salvage a point against Leicester after the International Break, scoring in a 1-1 draw. He failed to score again this weekend in the win over Huddersfield, where he played just 11 minutes from the bench.

Murray now has 7 goals from 14 games and is slowly nearing his goal scoring statistics from last season, when he scored 12 goals from 35 games in the Premier League. The Englishman has recorded just 17 shots in the league so far but has hit the target 9 times, giving him a better shooting accuracy that still puts him ahead of Salah in this list. Right now, Glenn Murray is 6th among the top contenders for the Premier League Golden Boot at the start of December.

#5 Eden Hazard (Belgium, Chelsea)

Chelsea FC v Fulham FC - Premier League

Goals Scored - 7

Hazard fans, look away! The Belgian has now failed to score in his last 5 games in the Premier League and seems to be losing his way in Sarri's system. He has not scored since the start of October now and that will be a big concern for his manager. Chelsea's unbeaten run in the Premier League is gone and as of now, all is not well for Eden Hazard.

His recent barren run has seen him drop 4 places from 1st to 5th now and unless the Belgian pulls up his socks and gets going, he might lose more ground to the men ahead of him. Salah has already caught up with him, something that looked unlikely at the start of the season when both were on contrasting form.

Hazard currently has 7 goals from 13 games, once again a better goals per game ratio keeping him ahead of the competition. He has recorded 36 shots so far, with 16 of those on target. The Belgian is currently 5th in the race to the Golden Boot at the start of December.

#4 Harry Kane (England, Tottenham Hotspurs)

Arsenal FC v Tottenham Hotspur - Premier League
Arsenal FC v Tottenham Hotspur - Premier League

Goals Scored - 8

You cannot keep Harry Kane away from the Golden Boot race. After a slow start to the season, the Englishman is back where he belongs on the back of a fantastic month of November. After failing to score in October and dropping to 7th, Kane was clinical last month and drove back to 4th at the start of December.

The English Striker started November with a goal against Wolves in a hard-fought away win. He missed out from scoring against Crystal Palace but returned to end Chelsea's unbeaten run in the Premier League, scoring a goal. This weekend, he scored from the spot against Arsenal, as Spurs lost at the Emirates.

Harry Kane now has 8 goals from 14 games this season, 3 of which have been from the spot. He has registered 48 shots so far, with 25 of them on target, however, the Spurs Striker has also missed 7 big chances in the games played. At the start of December, Kane is 4th among the top contenders for the Premier League Golden Boot.

#3 Sergio Aguero (Argentina, Manchester City)

Goals Scored - 8

The Argentinean is going steady in the race, retaining his place at the 3rd position at the start of December. After a slow October where he had scored just 1 goal, Sergio Aguero picked up the pace in November, scoring 2 goals from 3 games.

Aguero started the month by scoring in the 6-1 demolition of Southampton at home, and followed that up with another goal in the morale-boosting win over Manchester United, again at home. He also started in the win over West Ham, but could not find the back of the net. This past weekend, he was rested for the game against Bournemouth. The Argentinean has now scored 8 goals from 13 games in the Premier League and has 12 goals from 17 games in all competitions this season.

In the Premier League, the Argentinean has registered 55 shots, 19 of which have been on target. He has also hit the woodwork three times this season. Aguero has been in fine form so far this season and is currently 3rd in the race to the Golden Boot at the start of December.

#2 Raheem Sterling (England, Manchester City)

Manchester City v AFC Bournemouth - Premier League
Manchester City v AFC Bournemouth - Premier League

Goals Scored - 8

After missing out from the top ten contenders at the start of November, Raheem Sterling is back with a bang at the beginning of December. He started the month of November by scoring twice in the win over Southampton, a game where he also picked up two assists.

After failing to find the back of the net in the following game against Manchester United, the Englishman scored against West Ham and then this past weekend against Bournemouth. Sterling now has 8 goals from 12 games and is hot on heels of the man at the top.

The Englishman has recorded 30 shots so far, out of which 16 have been on target. He also has 6 assists to his name and should be looking to better his goalscoring record from last season, where he found the back of the net 18 times from 33 games. At the start of December, Raheem Sterling is 2nd in the race to the Premier League Golden Boot.

#1 Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (Gabon, Arsenal)

Arsenal FC v Tottenham Hotspur - Premier League
Arsenal FC v Tottenham Hotspur - Premier League

Goals Scored - 10

After scoring 5 in October, the Gabon International has continued his goalscoring run in November too. This has seen him jump from 2nd during our last assessment to the top of the pile here. He now has 12 goals from 18 games in all competitions and in the Premier League, Aubameyang has scored 10 times in 14 games.

The former Dortmund Striker started the month of November on a slow note, failing to find the back of the net in the draws at home against Liverpool and Wolves. However, Aubameyang was back among the goals against Bournemouth and this past weekend, set the pace by scoring a fantastic brace that dismantled Tottenham and gave Arsenal a memorable win.

He has now registered 31 shots so far, with 13 of them on target. After the game against Tottenham, the Gabon International has matched his stats from last season and will be hoping to comfortably cross the 20 goal mark this season.

Aubameyang has steadied himself at the top of the pile and is the top contender for the Premier League Golden Boot at the start of December. Join us again next month, as we assess how the race progresses at the end of the year.
