Harry Kane would have certainly completed his hattrick of Golden Boots last season, had the phenomenal Mohamed Salah not surpassed him. It was a brutal lesson for the English Striker who had hit a personal best 30 goals from 37 games last season. When he had won the award in 2015/16 and 2016/17 seasons, he had scored 25 goals and 29 goals respectively. Kane was disappointed, but as an immediate improvement, has started early this season.
He has already scored 5 in his 7 games in the Premier League, which includes goals against Fulham, Manchester United, Brighton and a brace against Huddersfield on the weekend. He has registered 20 shots, with 11 of them on target and has hit the woodwork once. His goals per game ratio is also an impressive 0.71. However, he has already missed 5 big chances and he will be hoping he does not end up regretting those misses come the end of the season. Kane has also picked up two assists and he is 3rd in the Premier League Golden Boot Power rankings for October.
Kane scored another goal in the midweek defeat to Barcelona and now has 4 goals in his last 3 games in all competitions. He will be hoping to maintain the momentum till the end of the season, because the fight for the prize looks a lot harder this season.

Inspired by Diego Maradona, Deepungsu played as an attacking midfielder for his local club at subdivision level in his initial years and scored an important goal or two. However, his all-time favorite footballer is Lionel Messi, and evidently, he feels Argentina's glory in 2022 is his favorite FIFA World Cup moment for fulfilling his long-standing dream. He is also an ardent East Bengal fan.
Deepungsu has been a Manchester United supporter since the year 2000. Unsurprisingly, his favorite manager is Sir Alex Ferguson and the Scotsman helped him get through some of the toughest days of his life. Like the fiery Scot, Deepungsu also leaves no stone unturned when it comes to accuracy in articles and only relies on credible sources.
Despite believing in Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland to create an iconic rivalry, Deepungsu reckons no one can match the longevity of Messi and Ronaldo. He spends his leisure time writing about life on his blog, reading books, and playing the guitar.
