Eyebrows were raised when Pep Guardiola decided to spend a huge sum of £34.9 million for the services of Brazilian stopper Ederson. But the 24-year-old performed brilliantly since his signing and is now one of the best goalkeepers in the Premier League.
Ederson signed for Manchester City in 2017 as a replacement of the struggling KEYLOR Navas and the Brazillian paid back every penny of his transfer fee with his wonderful performances.
He kept 16 clean sheets in the League last season and conceded just 26 goals in the 36 Premier League games he had played in. The same season, he made 58 saves and even managed to save two penalties.
Ederson will be competing with Allison for the place in the starting line-up during the World Cup and the experience at the biggest footballing stage is only going to get the best out of him.
