Torres: Sort it out, enough is enough!

I for one have backed Fernando Torres to the hilt from the day he signed for Chelsea – through his difficult start to his career at Stamford Bridge, the stick he has taken throughout his time here and to recently. But I will be honest, my opinion is beginning to change.

I will never question his work rate, his hunger for the game and to do well for the team but for me, it’s his willingness to work hard for the team that is the reason he has suffered yet another goal drought.

I don’t want to see Fernando Torres coming deep to collect the ball from our midfield or defence. I don’t want to see Torres making runs down the channel to give the option of a pass to our full backs, it’s should be our midfielders that do that!

I want someone to tell Torres to stick to playing in between the width of the penalty box and stay there! The only way he is going to score goals is to be in the right place at the right time!

Think about it here, he has had chances come his way and he hasn’t put them away because he isn’t sharp, he isn’t at his best and I am sorry, but it’s there for all to see.

Some people say that the manager HAS TO play Torres or he will end up getting sacked, but to me that’s just ridiculous rumour and here say. Surely Roman Abramovich can see what we all do now?

I want Fernando Torres to succeed at this club, to score goals and to take over the mantle from Didier Drogba and to lead us to winning the Premier League, Champions League and FA CUP again.

He must work harder than he has ever done before to make sure he is in the right positions at the right time, to be selfish and to get that killer instinct back in front of goal.

For now, I would play Danny Sturridge as soon as he is available, with the message that once and for all at this club, Torres needs to pull his finger out even more so than everybody else!

Carefree & KTBFFH!
