Tottenham Hotspur will host Chelsea in a blockbuster London derby in the 2020-21 Premier League on Friday.

While the hosts have struggled for form in recent weeks, Chelsea are slowly starting to build a bit of momentum under their new manager Thomas Tuchel.

The two sides played out an uninspiring goalless draw in their first Premier League meeting of the season. But under a more proactive manager like Tuchel at the helm, things could pan out differently this time.

Chelsea are hitting form at the right time, so Mourinho will hope that his Tottenham Hotspur team can also up the ante.

On that note, let’s take a look at five players to watch out for when Tottenham Hotspur will lock horns with Chelsea:

#1 Son Heung-Min (Tottenham Hotspur)

There is added pressure on Tottenham Hotspur attacker Son Heung-Min after Harry Kane’s injury; the South Korean is expected to be the biggest threat against Chelsea.

Son will miss his chemistry with Kane of course, but he is still a pretty good player in his own right. He will need to provide the drive and energy to the Tottenham Hotspur attack that they have been lacking in recent times.

The north London side were the second-best team by far against Brighton, but their attack looked lacklustre, as they rarely tested the Brighton goalkeeper.

Nevertheless, Son’s numbers this season have been impressive, as he has scored 12 goals and is the most creative Tottenham Hotspur player, having made more key passes than anyone else.

With Chelsea not defending at their best this season, an in-form Son Heung-Min could cause Tuchel’s side a few problems.

#2 Timo Werner (Chelsea)

Timo Werner’s goal drought in the Premier League has been a rather long one, but with Tuchel at the helm, the former Leipzig man will look to rediscover his scoring touch.

Werner may not have scored against Burnley, where Chelsea ran away comfortable 2-0 winners, but his link-up play was impressive against the Clarets.

The German's presence could be a factor against Tottenham Hotspur, considering the Lilywhites sit deep. Even though Werner may not have space to attack and use his pace, his clever footwork and link-up play could be crucial on Friday.

#3 Marcos Alonso (Chelsea)

Marcos Alonso put in a scintillating display for Chelsea from left wing-back against Burnley; he could be the type of player Tuchel will need to stretch play and out-do the Tottenham Hotspur defence.

Alonso was a man on a mission after being named in Chelsea's starting lineup against Burnley. He didn’t put a foot wrong; he was solid with his passing and ended the game with a goal.

Chelsea's three-at-the-back system could help him, as he will have some extra cover while going forward; Alonso could make the difference with a good cross or a late run into the Tottenham Hotspur box.

#4 Eric Lamela (Tottenham Hotspur)

Tottenham Hotspur need some spark in the attacking third; Eric Lamela could provide that against Chelsea. Jose Mourinho handed Gareth Bale a chance against Burnley, but the Welshman looked out of pace and out of place.

Lamela is likely to get the nod over Lucas Moura, but the Argentine will need to be at his best to add some creativity in the Tottenham Hotspur attack.

The former AS Roma man hasn’t quite been able to impress under Jose Mourinho, but when at his best, he can be a tricky player to play against. He is likely to come up against Antonio Rudiger in the Chelsea defence, in what could be an enticing duel

Lamela is yet to score this season in the Premier League, so a goal against Chelsea in the London derby won’t be a bad time to open his account.

#5 Callum Hudson-Odoi (Chelsea)

After a troubled time with injuries, Callum Hudson-Odoi is ready to make his mark this season for Chelsea; the arrival of a new manager could certainly help him do that.

Hudson-Odoi can play on the right; with a hard-working Mason Mount and Azpilicueta on that side, the winger could have the freedom to take on the Tottenham Hotspur defenders.

With quick feet and pace to burn, Hudson-Odoi could be a threat on Friday. He has scored just twice in the Premier League this season, so he could be hungry for goals against Tottenham Hotspur
