Liverpool close in on £135m duo

Liverpool have already announced the capture of Naby Keita from RB Leipzig for a club record fee, however, the transfer will only take place at the end of the current season. The Reds are now planning an audacious £135m double swoop for Southampton defender Virgil van Dijk and AS Monaco sensation Thomas Lemar, according to English daily The Sun.

Cystal Palace agree fee for Liverpool defender

Crystal Palace have reportedly agreed a fee in the region of £20m for the services of Liverpool defender Mamadou Sakho, according to reliable English outlet The Guardian. According to the report, the deal could rise up to £30m including add-ons and will be completed following a medical.

Swansea City want Bayern Munich midfielder

Swansea Ciy are punching way above their weight if Sky Sports are to be believed. According to the English daily, the Swans are planning an audacious late bid to sign Bayern Munich midfielder Renato Sanches, who has been heavily linked with moves to Liverpool, Monaco and AC Milan among many other clubs.

Paul Clement considers the Portuguese sensation to be the ideal replacement for Gylfi Sigurdsson, who moved to Everton recently in a club record deal.

Monaco agree fee for Lazio striker

AS Monaco have agreed a £27.8m fee for Lazio forward Keita Balde, according to Sky Italia. The Stade Louis II outfit are preparing for life without teenage sensation Kylian Mbappe, who is close to completing a mega money move to PSG.

Balde has been heavily linked with moves to Tottenham Hotspur, Inter Milan and Juventus but it appears that Monaco have blown away the competition to secure his services.

Pepe Reina set to stay at Napoli

Napoli goalkeeper Pepe Reina is set to stay at the club despite receiving a lucrative offer from heavy spending outfit Paris Saint-Germain, according to Spanish outlet AS.

The Parc des Princes outfit were prepared to shell out €7m for the services of the former Liverpool man and were also willing to hand him a four-year contract. Reina is currently in the final year of his contract with the Naples outfit.

Bayern Munich beat 4 English clubs to sign Dutch wonderkid

According to English daily The Sun, Bayern Munich have beaten Arsenal, Chelsea, Everton and Manchester United to secure the signing of Dutch wonderkid Joshua Zirkzee, who previously plied his trade with Feyenoord.

Bayer Leverkusen facing legal action

Bayer Leverkusen are facing legal action from River Plate after the German side concluded the medical of Lucas Alario without the consent of the Argentine side. The BayArena outfit want to replace Javier Hernandez - who signed for West Ham United earlier in the window - with the Argentine international.

Philippe Coutinho wants to join Barcelona, confirms Brazil team doctor

The Philippe Coutinho transfer saga just refuses to die. According to RAC, Brazil team doctor Michael Simoni has confirmed that the 25-year-old midfielder wants to join Barcelona from Liverpool. The Reds have maintained that they are not interested in selling their prized asset but that has not deterred the Catalan outfit from continuing their pursuit of the Brazilian.

Speaking in an interview with RAC, Simoni said: “When he knows his future, he will be fine. He has no discomfort, he is going to play with Brazil. The player wants to go to Barca and is not happy with the lack of definition. The player prefers to be at Barca.”

Borussia Dortmund star joins Celta Vigo

Borussia Dortmund starlet Emre Mor has signed for Spanish outlet Celta Vigo, the two clubs have confirmed. The Turkish international moved to the Signal Iduna Park outfit only last year but struggled for first team chances during his time at the club as he made only 18 appearances across all competitions last season.

A good 'alternative'?

Thomas Meunier considers Kylian Mbappe to be a good alternative to Edinson Cavani

Paris Saint-Germain are closing in on the €180m signing of Kylian Mbappe from AS Monaco - the second biggest transfer in the history of football - but according to defender Thomas Meunier, the French wonderkid is a bizarrely a good 'alternative' to first choice striker Edinson Cavani.

Speaking in an interview, the wing-back said: "That can be perfect. We welcome that kind of player and we need it also. At No 9 we have only Cavani that's why I think Mbappe can be a really good alternative. He can play on right, left, in the middle. We need him and we have a great team this year."

AS Monaco sign Stevan Jovetic

AS Monaco have announced the signing of former Manchester City striker Stevan Jovetic on a four-year deal. The Montenegro international spent the second half of last season on loan with Sevilla from Inter Milan.
