Missing Italy

Alvaro Morata misses Italy

The Chelsea striker has admitted that he misses Italian football and believes that he made a mistake leaving Juventus in 2016. Morata spent two seasons in Turin but joined Real Madrid due to a buy-back clause in his contract. The striker then joined Chelsea this summer to end his stay in Spain, once and for all. Speaking to Gazzetta Dello Sport, Morata revealed, "I arrived in Italy feeling like a boy and I returned feeling like a true player. I should never have left Italy and Juve. I really miss Italy. My wife would like to live in Spain; I'd like to live in Italy."

Inter Milan monitoring Eliaquim Mangala

Tuttosport writes that Inter Milan are ready to make a move for Manchester City's Eliaquim Mangala if the Premier League club are ready to sell him at a low price. Mangala joined City in a big money move from FC Porto in 2014 but has failed to win many admirers with his performances. City are also looking to offload the Frenchman but only if they find a better replacement. Inter Milan are flying this season with manager Luciano Spalletti keen on making his defence stronger with the signing of Mangala.
