FC Barcelona to rival Manchester City for Joshua Kimmich

The Catalans have been mightily impressed by the consistency shown by Bayern Munich's star, Joshua Kimmich. Diario Sport believes that FC Barcelona are preparing a £44 million bid for the versatile fullback and will rival Manchester City for the youngster's signature. City have been trying to sign the 22 year old ever since Guardiola took over.

Pep has been a huge admirer of Kimmich's talent with the right back being one of his favourites during the manager's Munich days. The Bavarians are keen to hold onto their future superstar but the player in focus may find it too hard to resist an interest from two of the most in-form teams in the world.

Cristiano Ronaldo ousted Gonzalo Higuain from Real Madrid

According to Gazzetta Dello Sport, it was Cristiano Ronaldo who demanded president Florentino Perez to offload Gonzalo Higuain from the club.

The Italian daily writes that Ronaldo was angered by the Argentine striker's reluctance to pass him the ball and the duo reportedly fell out of favour at the Bernabeu. Ronaldo took centre stage once again and demanded Perez to sell Higuain which paved the way for his transfer to Napoli.
